reports of massive nature destruction following the wake of typhoon milenyo (international name: xangsane) are widespread across luzon, one of the main islands in the philippines. uprooted trees, felled billboard structures and Meralco (electrical) posts, no water and electricity...

i'm not grateful that i wasn't there. in fact, i feel very frustrated and concerned, not knowing firsthand how my family, relatives and friends are doing/coping. however, i AM grateful that at least my bro, my sis-in-law, and their family are doing fine (relatively).

to think that my house back there has an electrical post right on one corner of the lot, a tree on the other, a water tank on the third... how the house, and more importanly, the people inside it were saved, with no signs of damages... THANK YOU, THANK YOU GOD.
