a shrill scream of joy cut through the air.

i opened a letter from HACC today and found out i was being awarded a multi-cultural scholarship (worth $250 1 sem, i think).
really amazing news! i was really happy to get it. have to go to a ceremony to get it and meet my 'sponsor' tho, but if it's all about getting that scholarship, kahit 250 lang, i'm game. it will certainly look good on the resume.

btw, please pray for me. 2 weeks ago, i was also beside myself, but with hopeful expression tho, since i got a letter for a faculty scholarship application. this one's worth $900 naman, but it's going to be harder i think to get it since they were only awarding 1 full time student for it for the entire hacc campuses (as opposed to the multi-cultural scholarship, wherein they were giving it to 6, and of course the list is narrowed to only multicultural students, e iilan lang kami).

still, still, i'm hopeful. please pray about it. i've asked 2 faculty members to make me a recommendation, i need one more. after that, i have to make a 500-word essay on why i deserve the faculty scholarship. but of course, i have to make sure i get 4.0 cumulative GPA by the end of this sem, as a prerequisite for the scholarship.

man, it's a long shot, but i might as well try.

i'm still happy about the multi-cultural scholarship tho. i pick up the letter again. it says i could take 2 people with me when i go to harrisburg. i still dunno who to ask, but if mengs and thea were here.... :(

sigh. anyway, here's a shout out: thank you thank you Lord!

hay. the semester's winding down. not as fast as i want to, but at least winding down.

seems like i could hardly breathe these past few weeks. it was exams every week. it was all endless studying. but somehow, i wasn't to my usual par, i actually was laid back in hitting the books. despite that, scored a 94 in micro even tho i didn't study so much. hope the anatomy went well as well. the reproductive cycle, somehow, wasn't that interesting.

and the club. sigh. i'm getting a lot of work on that one. i'm done complaining tho. i just want to see this semester thru. that includes all club work. just grit my teeth and do it. do that. do this. gawd. it's horrible, but somehow fulfilling at the same time. you know you're doing it is what matters.

blame spring. bought a new pair of white sandals (which when i wore, everybody liked). need white capri to go with it (i'll go for an all white ensemble). sorry, i'm not really a cloth whore, but i really felt so deprived last sem.

i'm attending a 'celebration of students' thing this saturday. i'll try to get pics. basically, its the only time i could probably just sit down, relax, and eat. ye, food's free, who am i to pass it up?

it has been busy times this week... more of those are expected to follow. it's a freakin' biology exam every freakin' week for me, i barely have enough time to breathe and relax! seriously!

3 news that must be said tho. found out that we had our 10-yr manre batch reunion. as much as i was cynical of those yesteryears, the pics looked like they were having a lot of fun. welll, it WAS fun looking at how people changed (and didn't change).

ok, so that wasn't much of a kwento.

butttt, my sister has yet again made a new web layout! it's cheekily funny! and the the other news. drumroll please.... CONGRATS MENGS AND ANNE! baby on the way! wooohooo! God's blessings to you both! love you much!
